New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC)

NZTC introduced online delivery of its qualifications with ecelearn in June 2009. Students and staff alike have been quick to embrace the online option, with well over half of total students choosing the online mode of study over face-to-face or correspondence options. 

Just a brief note to congratulate you on such an excellent online system. Over the last 18 months of using ecelearn, we have found it to be extremely reliable. And while many of our users professed to being quite low tech, they have grown proficient in navigating the site and accessing necessary study materials. Using the online site has really benefitted our students; it has helped to transform the way they study by giving them instant connection in discussion forums and private emessages to their peers and teaching staff. ecelearn has also enabled us to present learning materials in new and exciting ways taking full advantage of the different types of media. New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC India)

NZTC India began delivering qualifications online to students based in India through NZTC's customised version of ecelearn, NZTC Online, in March 2010.

		I joined the NZTC India team only in the month of June, 2010. I was not familiar with online learning and was a bit apprehensive about the entire process. However, once I started using NZTC Online [NZTC's customised version of ecelearn] I found it very user friendly and easy to access. I have had the opportunity to teach as well as learn during the past few months. ecelearn staff (based in New Zealand) has been very supportive throughout the entire process. Despite the geographic limitation, help was just a click away. Talking about the system, apart from other features I find the ‘Discussion forums’ extremely beneficial. 		I like the fact that the discussion forum is interactive and a learning experience in itself. The forum acts as a catalyst for achieving the learning objectives of each module.
